Integrated Neurology is a convergence of Basic Neurosciences and Clinical Neurology which consists of 2-hour lectures per week. This course will review and reinforce the basic medical neurosciences: anatomy, physiology, cytology, pathology, and clinical correlations. The Clinical Neurology lectures provide a basic overview of the most common and important neurological diseases affecting people worldwide: strokes, seizure disorders, headaches, neurodegenerative diseases, movement disorders, demyelinating diseases, nervous system infections, and neuromuscular diseases.
Each topic will focus on the fundamentals of epidemiology, clinical presentation and disease course, disease mechanisms, diagnostic approaches and differential diagnoses, management, and rationale for the different treatment options.
