The PT235 (TLPT) course is designed to equip aspiring physical therapists with the essential skills and knowledge needed to effectively educate and train their future patients, interns, and colleagues. This semester-long course explores various instructional techniques, pedagogical approaches, and evidence-based teaching methods specifically tailored to the field of physical therapy. Throughout the course, students will delve into the principles of the psychology of education, basic educational theory, adult learning theory, and learning styles; while gaining insights into how to design and deliver educational content (instructional design, presentations, and assessment procedures). Students will learn to adapt teaching and strategies to meet the diverse contemporary needs of their future students and/or patients.
